Neighborhood Hands meet unhoused residents where they are and provide an empowering, no-barrier-to-entry opportunity to beautify unmaintained urban parks. After park cleanings, we connect unhoused residents to the neighborhood through a positive community environment and growing resource fair, (or "party-in-the-park," as we call it!) enabling highly convenient, efficient, and comfortable access to a wide range of community partners battling the homeless crisis
The program meets at 7:45 A.M. in Guadalupe River Park just north of the Spring St. cul de sac off Coleman Avenue. The unhoused neighbors will clean the park until approximately 9:00 A.M. and they receive stipends for their efforts. After, everyone enjoys a vibrant and growing community resource fair until ~10:30 A.M.
Parking: For those who are physically able, please utilize the lot at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse (see blue signs in bottom left corner of map below), or Walnut or Hobson Streets. Please do NOT park at the Rotary PlayGarden parking lot or on Seymour St.
